A Month Gone By

It is really not long before a month goes by.
Just tomorrow will be a month since I last made an entry.
Blogging so much like keeping a diary.
Just wonder if anyone much does that anymore?
My Dad does daily write on a large calendar of the day's
event. He has done it for years probably 50 yrs.
I remember when being young he would do it.
He feels it is important to do so. Yes he still reviews
past calendars to see what happened and when.

I really like to be more faithful in keeping a journal,
a blog or something.
What i really like to do is to teach a small sewing class
for kids. Kids that actually want to learn how to sew.
I Hope to do this,I have wanted to for a long time.
Something to think about something to work on doing.

It been a cloudy day, some rain, darkness is coming quickly
and it time to let the doggies out they have been napping
but I now hear Belle scratching and whining at the side door
( the garage room).

I need to do something , I need to sew, that is where feel
I am being productive.
I have plenty of projects,curtains that need making.
I like to make some elves;I just need some motivation
in doing this.

I also an a procrastinator I NEED and WANT to clean up that
GARAGE ROOM , where the doggies spend their nights and rainy
days. It need to be a room of productivity not a room to hoard
things and or JUNK in. A Christmas tree would be nice there...
I need days off and Sunshine and a will to get rid of stuff .

right into September.
It is 15 minutes into the new month;
So I am going to bed .

Never Give UP!

This is exactly what was under my bed this am. A little red band with the words Never Give Up. How appropriate , just what I needed , though so many times in the Bible we are told that, some how finding it today it made it was onto my left hand. My left hand, no particular reason, perhaps it used less than right, but when I look down I can see the words NEVER GIVE UP . It is a keeper!

I know so many things always need to be done, so MUST Muster the Movements to get a Moving if today i do in fact get something accomplished. It such a beautiful morning cool fells like 68 degrees with teh wind blowing, min fact it is 69 now in Navarre, 65 in Murfreesboro, 70 in New York, 77 in San Antonio,and 58 in Cupertino where every in the world that is I DON'T know. San ANtonio is to get 103 today so enjoy your 77 right now.

One thing I really want to do this week is go to the Wilson County Fair . Their Fairs, my understanding though I not ever been after 58 years of life, are TOP NOTCH. Why, becuase they put everything into it!
Banana DERBY is enough to make me want to go though i awant to before i ever here of this event, monkeys riding dogs in a ring , Monkeys are so funny anyway!

My neighbor is bush hogging he only like 87 yrs old! such a sweet man with a gentle spirit!
Well it's off to get a couple of things done today perhaps it be many since i do not need to give up .
My son has a job interview , he is very upbeat about it and prayfully it will be a opportunity that will be of much benefit to him.
I let you know more of this later.

May we always have God holding our hand and not let go.

Totally Crazy!

It is JULY 16 th!!!!!
this favorite month is almost gone! Why favorite?
Well the many of the most important people I love
are born in this month. Mom first of all then course
i have to love myself they say
or you can not love anyone else!
I really ment to make a note on my B Day
but did not that how fast and perhaps furious this month
is going!
It is half gone! It just started and I am a YEAR older!!!!

I really need to make a trip to the town west of me ,
to drop off my rx for new specks, that is what the older
generation calls them and sense, I am older, I guess it time
to call them their proper name!!

July 1 st

Well it is about time I made a new entry. Ha since it been 20 days ago. I so wish sometime that a day was a week and then i could get a lot more done on my days off and the days I took vacation. As it stands I have not hardly made a path to walk in. I am planting flowers that have been yearning for the ground since probably the first of May what a shame, sorry flowers that your sibling flowers are growing so beautiful and you are so confined to your container. Today is the day the Weather Vane Almanac says I can plant and you will thrive, so hopefully with miracle grow and plenty of water you will catch up in your growth. Time to plant the seeds also today and tomorrow.(well actually it says that is is favorable for planting peas,tomatoes, and other fall crops bearing above ground. sow grain and forage crops,whatever that is.)so I am taking the risk and planting and transplant, otherwise the gonna die anyway . hopefully the moon is in the right place (phase)
Tomorrow is a big day . Mom Birthday she be 88 years old. We the daughters are having a QUEEN for The Day Celebration. Just her daughters and her. So in all due respect i musst close and continue with the transplanting of flowers and then on to town to ppick out a card and whatever else I need.

It is also my son and his wife's 4th Anniversary. I need to find something special for the two of them also. That is why I need more time in a day.
hopefully I can post some photos later. In case some mignt want to see them. :)

Kate yes, if you pull the skin off before roasting it will be dry.
And of course you can pull the skin off after it is roasted.
regarding eating chitlins, cracklins or CHICKLINS :), I rather not swallow any, and yes I use to break the necks of chicken on the farm dip them in the black kettle of boiling water and pluck the feathers off for my mom to fry for Sunday dinner. Best Chicken every she just fry up the hearts,gizzards and we would fight over them. (7 Kids)
But people are healthier back then than now, I sure it healthier than all the fried “JUNK foods we buy, chips etc
It would seem to me that Chicken grease would fall under those unhealthily categories of “bad” oil.That is one reason that people triglercyerides are so dangerously elevated. Thought the taste might be wonderful and of course all those southern foods are delicious but look at the statistics. FAT is not all good! Advice, use the good FATs and OILS. Moderation is also the key. Though my Parents are pushing 88 and 91 they use the bad oils all their lives and grew up on the naturally organic stuff they grew and raised until their later years so what can anyone really say?

A New Day THANKSGIVING

for a new day.




Yesterday was with
uncertainty
It ended with certainty.
I am so thankful.

Peace for my beloved son and our family.
I can rejoice!

Yesterday started with what was
a usual sort of day,
until I felt the need to
simply, gently
blow my nose. At approx 0545 it began.
As most normal sometimes a little
blood might show up on a
tissue; well a little was there
and there was a little more.
Then I start to think of what meds
I had the night b 4;
well 600mg of Ib and an Allegra.
I had not taken my bp med that AM
because i had not eaten
and my bp had not been that high.
But what ever happen ...Happened!
My nostril was running like an open faucet.
I thought perhaps we could get to our first
point of interest but within 2 seconds my only thought
was "Mike take me to the ER NOW."
Beside making one phone call and ignoring
the 3 incoming calls, Mike was looking at the road
and looking a me : knowing i looked like someone
you see on horror movies.

Some traffic was slow.
I told Mike "pass everything, run lights
when you can and keep moving fast."
I remember hearing his flashing lights
I suppose we looked like a F-150 ambulance.

I DON'T CARE IF I AM A NURSE
I am human and can not think sometimes on
how to treat myself, treating others is different.
All nurses and Drs know that and we all tend
to ignore our self and look out for the other person
and we get scared like the other humans , the humans like you.
I honestly thought my brain sprang a leak!
Well it does happen and with family history, it is possible.
It was an artery ( small one) in my nose-- that close enough to my BRAIN!
I kept thinking i am still awake and that is good.
Thank God for ERs, I do not believe I could work in one. Yes, ERs are more Dramatic than you see on Scrubs and Grey's Anatomy!!
There is a reason those does are locked!

I am not sure,
so many things to do
so many places to go
want to just sat and read
but not time to clean the floor.
My daughter graduates Sat.
The party is at 5,
No planned out menu written,
just all inside my head.

so who cares it the house is

OH but wait the news said
cut your grass today
the sun will pop out midday and then it
rain again.
So it that a hint of sunshine
I better rise and shine.

commenting on the good ,the bad and the ugly of gift registering

HUM..............
I better keep my mouth shut.......
but i won't .......

I had 2 showers.........
both total approx
10 gifts the most expensive was probably under 15 dollars........
There was NO registry.....no gift cards.........
and no room to not appreciate "what I did or did not get".
Life should be Simple in all things. Everyone should remember that. YOU get what you pay for but good sense also prevails, you dont need a $ 10 potato peeler when you can get one for $2.
My suggestion is that probably every woman should have approx 6-7 kids (as my mom did)and learn to deal with what you do have. I DID NOT follow that and might have been better if I had. I can't not imagine what the future generation holds.
YOu have some good suggestions. Just remember TO KEEP IT SIMPLE and get your thank you card started in advance . So what if they didn't send a gift or the one you did not want thank them for the special thought and dont wait the " your have up to 3- 6 months to be proper" in getting them sent.(they forget OR really remember who you are by that time)
THIS ADVICE IS NOT JUST INTENDED FOR JUST ONE ANY SINGLE INDIVIDUAL BUT ANYONE .( as stated The Good,the Bad and the Ugly of Registering!!)

Spring sprung about a month ago.

I really behind on blogging my thoughts.
I have a sinus cold.I feel horrible could
feel worse Hope it doesnt get there.

I have a new floor , It exciting!
Birch laminate looks like real hardwood.
30 yr warranty probably outlast me even it not
I probably will not care at that time of the Life.
Kitchen,dining,lr,halls all flow the same and
the bedrooms are carpet. Much nicer than walking
on painted subfloors.
If felt better i would try to post a phot or 2.

couldn't find )I grabbed a round dow stick
and put on my white nursing solid grip shoes
and headed to the front yard in my PJ and warm
and cap ,no time to look for rhe gloves!

Using the rusty God given pointer finger,I measured
3 inches!
WOOPEE for a few hours!
